Nothing is as certain as change.
I find myself changing from mourning Mary’s untimely death to one of celebrating her life and I am moved by the people that have come together to form the MTH Foundation.
We have formed something very significant that will make positive change while being sensitive to what we believe Mary would want.
Our new web site really represents all the dedication and hard work in honoring Mary. This site and all that it offers are because of Dean Kyriakos' dedication and hard work. This is what we are all about in electronic form. Thank you Dean.
We launch this site on Mary’s 40th Birthday. 1968 the year of her birth to 2008 the year Mary’s Foundation is formed. To 8/8/08 when we all meet in Mary’s home town of Minocqua WI to celebrate.
On a personal note, this after all is Herl’s message board and I’m Herl.
I am preparing to run the Boston Marathon on April 21st. Boston offered Mary and Mary and me a landing pad for two years.
Near family, close friends and the best healthcare offered anywhere.
One thing remains for me. It’s the city that took Mary from us. It's the city where Mary died and I hate it for that and I'm pissed off. Wish me luck.
Love,
Herl
Herlhart Team members,
I often think back on our time in Austin . This was a fantastic event made so by all of your involvement. Team Herlhart will get together again this year, with a bit of a change. The inspiration for this year’s event is the forming of the Mary T. Hartzheim Foundation and planning the Foundations’ kick off event in August 2008. I’m viewing this year’s meeting as a wonderful opportunity to get together and celebrate Mary’s life and give us a chance to all stay in contact. The logistics to this years meeting are coming together nicely. The planning thus far is as follows:
October 19, 20, 21, 2007 in Madison Wisconsin. The home of the University of Wisconsin and Mary’s alma mater. Events planned: University of Wisconsin Football game on Saturday the 20th. Trek Bike Tour on Sunday the 21st, Fun Run and Walk the Lake’s of Madison . We’ll be back in touch with details, but mark your calendars now for a fun filled weekend in the great mid-west!
We want to create a successful foundation in Mary’s Memory. To do so we need your help and we want your involvement during this important planning stage. Our goal is to leave Madison with a focus and firm understanding for an event in Mary’s home town of Minocqua WI , in August 2008. Again, we will be back in contact shortly to outline hotel options and various logistics for our October gathering.
Our future is bright and I can’t wait to see you again in October.
Much Love,
Fred/Tiger and most importantly Herl
